Ingredients

So how do we make these scrumptious treats?

    Method

    1. Preheat and Prepare:
    • Preheat the oven to 180C/350F.
    • Line an 8 x 8-inch pan with baking paper for easy removal and set aside.
    1. Mix Wet Ingredients:
    • In a large mixing bowl, whisk the apple sauce, almond butter, and sugar-free maple syrup (until smooth).
    1. Add Dry Ingredients:
    • Add the coconut sugar, protein powder, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
    • Once combined, add chocolate chips.
    1. Bake:
    • Transfer the batter to the lined pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out mostly clean.
    1. Cool and Cut:
    • Allow the brownies to cool in the dish for 10-15 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely before adding any optional frosting or cutting.
