Ingredients
- 3/4 cup apple sauce (235g)
- 2/3 cup almond butter (approx 165g)
- 1/3 cup Sugar Free Maple Syrup
- 2 tablespoons coconut sugar
- 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 scoops of chocolate Platinum Blend by UM Sports
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (85 grams)
So how do we make these scrumptious treats?
Method
- Preheat and Prepare:
- Preheat the oven to 180C/350F.
- Line an 8 x 8-inch pan with baking paper for easy removal and set aside.
- Mix Wet Ingredients:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk the apple sauce, almond butter, and sugar-free maple syrup (until smooth).
- Add Dry Ingredients:
- Add the coconut sugar, protein powder, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
- Once combined, add chocolate chips.
- Bake:
- Transfer the batter to the lined pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out mostly clean.
- Cool and Cut:
- Allow the brownies to cool in the dish for 10-15 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely before adding any optional frosting or cutting.
